Hi, it's Al & Rebecca

18 years ago we eloped and were married by a hippie/minister/massage therapist under a tree outside of a dentist office. It seems like we've been married forever. (#truth).

We've been through war (literally, we're both Army Veterans). We've been through natural disasters (once upon a time our house was destroyed by a tornado). We've been through multiple career changes (from dirtbag trail guide authors to suit-and-tie professionals and everything in between) and together we made it through a life-changing cancer diagnosis and treatment.

If you're like us, chances are that your life is stressful, messy and sometimes really challenging. But you may have someone by your side who has been there through the good, the bad and the ugly seasons of life.

When our friends at the Pacuare Outdoor Center invited us to visit Costa Rica recently it was the first time in 13-years (since before kids) that we were able to step away from our cell phones, our laptops, our responsibilities and just be. Be with each other. Be with nature. And be still. The experience was the best thing we've ever done for our marriage.

After our trip we knew that we wanted to offer the same experience for other middle-aged and gently graying humans.

That's why we're excited to offer Hike Like A Woman's first ever co-ed retreat. Bring your friend, spouse, partner, bestie, tinder flame, &/or soul mate and join us for a week of community, friendship, adventure, nature and reconnection.
