Friday
May 19th
Travel to Laramie and get settled in your lodging for the weekend.
3:00-5:00 pm - Registration + Meet and Greet and Mocktails at Lone Moose Ski Shop.
Saturday
May 20th
8:30 -9:00 am - Coffee, tea, and bagels.
9:00 -11:30 am - Workshop: Navigating with a map, compass, Garmin inReach, and your smartphone.
11:30-1:00 pm - Lunch + free time (on your own).
1:00 -2:30 pm - Workshop: Route planning.
2:30-5:00 pm - First-Aid Kit Workshop. Bring your kit and update it with us.
Sunday
May 21st
7:00-7:45 am - Sunrise yoga.
8:30-9:00 am - Coffee, tea, and bagels.
9:00 -11:30 am - Workshop: Safety + Risk Management
12:00 pm - Depart for group hike.
4:00 pm - Return to Laramie and say "see ya later."
Lodging
Laramie is a vibrant college town with lodging to fit all budgets - from motels to cabins, chain hotels to campgrounds. You can click here for lodging information. If camping is your style we like Curt Gowdy State Park- it's just 22 miles from Laramie. If you're flying into town we recommend renting a car, we don't have a lot of public transportation options available.
Packing
Come as you are - we aren't fancy, formal, or business casual. This is a time to gather together and learn. Bring a notebook, tablet, or whatever you use for taking notes. For our yoga session, you'll want comfy clothes and your standard hiking apparel + daypack for our hike. If you're participating in our First Aid Kit Workshop, bring your kit. We'll provide a limited supply of commonly used first-aid items to refresh your kit.
Meeting
All of our events (except our group hike on Sunday afternoon) will be held at Lone Moose Ski Shop. Lone Moose has a large parking lot, easy access to the interstate and it's a friendly, warm open space. We'll also supply you with unlimited snacks, coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. Lone Moose is located at 1404 Skyline Rd, right off of 15th and Skyline. It is not within walking distance of hotels and restaurants.

That's why we are generous with our refund policy. If you ask for a refund before 5/1/23 we will refund 100% of the participation cost. If you ask for a refund after 5/2/23 we are able to refund 50% of the participation cost.
